More drabble
Instead of theology, which I was supposed to be paying attention to, I've got more fic. First is J/D, post-"What Kind of Day Has it Been", second is pre-admin, Jed/Abbey.
"Josh, you're late for work." Donna shook him awake. "Leo's gonna flay you."
He grunted and put his cheek against her stomach to feel his child kicking. "You're more important. You dropped everything to care for me, gave up your job."
"You'd been shot. You needed me twenty-four/seven. I'm just pregnant."
"I need you twenty-four/seven, Mrs. Lyman." Josh rolled out of bed and paused to watch her stretch.
The White House had lost its gleam without Donna as his assistant he was forced to deal with some stupid replacement who brought him coffee. Now, he only wanted to be home.
President-Elect Bartlet took the podium and waved to the crowds on election night. "You've made history, today! Your votes have changed the status quo! Our voices will be heard!"
Josh grinned and watched the husband and wife team share a kiss. The spouse was sent off stage; the President-Elect continued to speak. Josh headed over. "Congratulations, Governor Bartlet... Do we call you the First Guy?"
"I'm just an Economics professor, Josh. Abbey's in the spotlight. She deserves every moment. Leo asked her. But you... come be the First Guy's Chief of Staff."
"Gladly, sir."
"Econ prof, Josh. Call me Jed."
