Okay, so my first reaction - what's with the TOTAL lack of exposition? I really felt like the first half of the movie was jumping from point to point without bothering to explain what's going on. And yes, I do realize 80% of those who watch the movie will have read the book - or more - but I know there are people out there like my mom, who WON'T read the book. And will have no idea what the frag is going on. I mean, that's simply bad moviemaking.
I understand the changes made to the storyline overall. I feel eh about most of them. The dancing scene was hilarious and definitely reminds me of middle school gym classes, so yes, very funny. But... since when was Beauxbaton all girls? and Durmstrang all boys? And why did Beauxbaton do a dance and Durmstrang did flips? That was just stupid. A waste of time which could have been filled with... you guessed it... exposition!
Also, Hermione's Yule dress was ugly. And Padma and Parvati aren't both in Gryffindor. So there.
