How many publishers did JK Rowling send the first Harry Potter book to before someone bought it? It was lots, I know.

Anyway, it's a pity, but I'm sure you can sell it on Ravelry if nowhere else. Try Knitty, maybe? (Though that might mean a lot of pattern support.)
