Highlights of the Jefferson Jackson Dinner:
-Grinnellians for Dean tshirts!
-Gina almost knocked over Carol Moseley Braun while entering the auditorium!
-The Andrews family (minus Steve) were there.
-I had no voice, yet chanted anyway!
-I have a cowbell for Dean, and a new button stating "another student on the Dean's list." hehehe.
-There were clearly more Dean supporters at the dinner than supporters for any other candidate.
-Hilary Clinton was phenomenal. So, in fact, was Tom Harkin, though he forgot the words to the pledge of allegience.
-Kucinich, though I respect his politics, is a frightening man. And he looks like a gnome, sort of.
-If not for Dean, I'd SO vote for Carol Moseley Braun. She's electric. I'm increasingly impressed.
-I was more engaged by Edwards than by Kerry, which saddened me. I'm not that much of an Edwards fan at all!
-Gephardt mentioned his pro-No Child Left Behind policy and the TeacherCorps again... I'm tempted to write an email or letter to the campaign asking for responses to my questions!
-Governor Vilsack is tres cool.
-Cool Dean supporters hang out at the Newton Perkins at 10pm.
-I may never speak again, after yelling my throat raw, but at least I can say I was there, at the largest JJ Dinner in history!
