New Years
Well,
piratej posted her resolutions, so now I feel guilty. I will post mine because, well... I will.
I hereby resolve...
1. To continue on my health kick by walking every day and by watching what I eat. Along these lines, I'm going to take the plunge and declare full vegetarianism, to begin January 19th as NBC lunches are not so veggie friendly.
2. To continue my exploration of my own faith, even though my journey no longer takes me directly to ministry.
3. To not dwell on those pesky letters I'm worriedly awaiting and, instead, focus on the fun things: the West Wing class I'm to teach with [hawk], the episodes of Deep Space Nine and Voyager waiting with
johnnytexas, the evenings in the nook with
piratej and
leiascully, nook lunches with
mindmaven and
bessiemaemucho and the rest of my pirates, and fabulous Saturday evenings with [vampire].
4. To make sure I caucus on January 19th and to work tirelessly behind whatever candidate comes out on top.
5. To be more patient about the quirks of my friends. (Stolen blatantly from
piratej
6. To restrain myself from comments about homework, as my anal retentive characteristics have the tendency to make people annoyed with me.
7. To watch a lot of West Wing.
8. To do those things I've planned on doing before the end of my time at Grinnell.
9. To be more secure in my body image. So long as I am healthy, it does not matter what pants size I wear. I must keep in mind that my mother's snide comments do not change the fact that she is, indeed, 2 inches shorter than me and still wears the same pants size.
10. To do a better job of reminding those around me just how much they mean to me.
