So, today's the Donner Party - and by that, I mean doing lots of studying for my midterm, not eating people. Still a vegetarian, except for the occasional tuna for protein, as tofu is too expensive here. Damnit, everything is too expensive here. And I really want West Wing seasons two and three, and I've managed to addict [livejournal.com profile] uzbad, as I once addicted [livejournal.com profile] johnnytexas.

Speaking of [livejournal.com profile] johnnytexas, why does he not update his journal? Silly boy.

Anyway, this will no doubt be a very very crazy week. Monday will be watching of the SNL election special - can't wait! - Tuesday will be nail-biting, Wednesday will be... well, aftermath. Thursday is Woods, and Friday is the test. And I think I get the topic for my Donner paper next week. Man. Craziness. I only have four weeks of this quarter left, how whacked is that?

Now I'm going to waste some time on the internet before football. Ataturk is going for a 4-0 record this week. Last week, we won on a one point conversion (I know what that means, even!) so I hope this game will have less sinking-stomach moments, and fewer insults yelled at the ref. Keep your fingers crossed for team CMES! اللهُ اكبَر!

WOOOT! The Packers won! They beat the Redskins! And according to lore (from slashdot.com, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] uzbad) that means our side will win on Tuesday!

Apparently, the outcome of the final Redskins game before the election has predicted the winner since 1944. If the skins win, the incumbent wins the election. If not, the challenger wins. And the Packers beat them down, 28-14...

And I say again, w00t! Please, please, be an omen of things to come....
