Many of you got things! Yay! But here's the ones that weren't gotten:
3. The great journey to the homeland of the philosophers began in Arendal, an old shipping town on the south coast of Norway.
This is the "Solitaire Mystery" by Jostein Gaarder. This may be my favourite book of all time. I think it's much, much better than Sophie's World. Shorter, too, and less philosophy ramblings. Everyone should read it!
5. [putting down books] Someone's love never falters, I see.
Bennett, do pull yourself together.
But will it pay the price?
I suppose it's technically a play, not a novel, but I do adore "Another Country." We read it in children's schoolbooks in London. I also now have the movie version on dvd. and colin firth is in it. young colin firth. mmm :)
6. "Sally." A mutter. "Wake up now, Sally." A louder mutter: leeme lone. He shook her harder. "Wake up. You got to wake up!"
"The Stand" Stephen King. Not a very inspiring beginning, indeed, but an amazing book.
8. It is dreadfully flat here since you have been gone, and it only makes it worse to imagine all the things I shall be missing.
"Sorcery and Cecelia" - surprised none of you got it as I've been pimping it for ages ;)
Good show, everyone!
