Currently, it's called:
Producing Sectarianism: The Function of 1860 in Lebanese Historiography
Lameness. I need something better than that! Sadly, I can't come up with puns or cleverness, so I'll turn it over to you...
For the record, my thesis is as such: that there are three different groups of Western scholars who use the 1860 civil war in Lebanon to talk about the later civil wars in the 20th century. One group connects directly, but in an Orientalist manner; the second group connects directly in a non-Orientalist manner; the third group connects indirectly.
Any ideas? ANything at all?
