Because really, after that first HBP chapter, it HAD to be written...
Title: The Other Speaker
Warning! HBP Spoilers! (Though only minute)
Summary: Bartlet talks to the Prime Minister
President Bartlet hated apologetic phone calls. “Mr. Prime Minister, about the call last night- I forgot- ”
“No, no… it’s all right…” He sounded horribly strained. With the week he’d had, Bartlet wasn’t surprised.
The President sighed. “What can I do?”
“You don’t have any idea,” the Prime Minister responded. His voice suddenly hushed. “You’ll think I’m mad but – Josiah, there’s a wizard terrorising my voters. Not terrorists, not hurricanes - A wizard,” he hissed.
Bartlet risked a glance at Leo’s empty office. “I know, John. The wizards’ Speaker - he told me, too.”
Over the mantle, George Washington smirked.
