Response to tww100 Challenge Thirteen: Travel
He always forgets to pack his toothbrush when he's off with the President in Austria, so I make sure an extra is next to the folders of memos and the stacks of wrinkled, beer-stained papers. With hesitation, I add something a little more personal, for a laugh a miniature pair of skis and a note, "Nice bosses take their assistants to Austria."
I wait at the window, feeling foolish when Amy ridicules the motion, but the hope (fear?) is still there.
However, on Monday, theres a post-it note in his own distinctive penmanship: "Next stop Hawaii, Donna. Buy a swimsuit."
