Knitting Therapy

I've already changed rooms once. I may change again tomorrow morning. Why? False advertising. The rooms weren't renovated - everything else was. The first room smelled funky, and then I had to upgrade to a more expensive room which, though it doesn't smell funny, is still pretty crappy. And while the building is wireless capable... it's not from my room(s). Only the first floor has wireless. And there's no ethernet connections in any of the rooms. To get internet access, I'll have to get DSL and pay extra for it, AND get them to connect it in my room.

So. Yeah. This sucks.

I'm talking to the coordinator tomorrow to try and get out of my contract. If that works, I'll have to find somewhere else to live. It'll probably be cheaper, even in a studio. I'm paying about $500/mo for crappiness and a bed that's SHOVED UNDER SHELVES. Remember my single last year, grinnellians? That was BIG compared to this new room. Like, super huge big. The entire area where my desk was last year is gone in the new room. HOwever, the new room has a sink.

Sink. Woot.

So, my plans...

1) Yell at lady. That's tomorrow morning way early.

2) Get my ID card.

3) Get a bank account.

4) Get a job.

5) Learn Arabic. Yeah. All of Arabic.
