durham_knits at 11:34am on 21/09/2004Network's up at the mo. So... I'm waiting to head off to orientation. I hate big groups and I dont' know anyone here except for my law-student roomie, who has different orientating stuff, so I suppose I"ll head off to be a wall flower...
Roomie, Erin and myself were off to Target last night. We had to turn around to meet my uncle, who was early, but it's probably a good thing. The neighborhood south of here is way way scary. I'm not used to being in areas that are this dilapidated. Even the East End isn't like that. And that was some bad stuff. I think I'll be staying in this area most of the time.
I've also spent too much time around highly educated people. It's really really hard to understand some of the accents around here - and I dont' mean the foreign students. It makes me feel out of place and sort of embarrassed. I'm not sure what to do about it.
